Following the latest Government guidance on Covid restrictions, the men of the award winning Northampton Male Voice Choir (NMVC) suddenly found themselves without a rehearsal venue.
Some 14 months (and nearly 100 virtual rehearsals) since its last “live” rehearsal NMVC was fully primed and ready to resume “live” rehearsals from 18 May when updated Government guidance, received at the eleventh hour that very day, meant the choir’s rehearsal plans had to be rapidly re-arranged.
Luckily for the choir, rugby’s Northampton Saints came up with a miracle by offering the choir its Franklin’s Gardens premises as an alternative rehearsal venue. Saints Head of Operations, Andy Tresias, said “We were very happy to be able to accommodate NMVC”.
Stephen Bell, NMVC Musical Director said “We are delighted to be able to rehearse again outdoors and end our time on Zoom. This is great news that the Saints are happy to help us out”.
