NMVC filled the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Roade in so many ways on Saturday evening. The stalls were packed to hear the choir perform a varied selection of songs at a concert organised by the church Bell Team to raise money for the Bell Rope Guide Appeal. The evening was a great success with a standing ovation for the choir and award winning Colombian pianist Kevin Satizabal, who performed a number of delightful solo pieces to contrast the choir in a varied programme of music. The event raised over £1,150 for the appeal which will go a long way to help achieve the appeal target of £3,500.
NMVC are now looking ahead to their tour to Exeter next week when they will be performing at the Cathedrals in both Bristol and Exeter, and then at Holy Trinity Church Exmouth, with Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir, to raise funds for local Rotary Charities and then at Powderham Church, Exeter with a group of ladies ‘Yours in Harmony’ in aid of the NSPCC.
Dates and venues are all available on the NMVC Website (NMCV.co.uk)
